Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to medical-surgical patients in a hospital setting during night shifts. Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and assist with procedures while adhering to all clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments to stroke and surgical patients according to physician orders.
• Monitor patient status using telemetry and central monitoring systems continuously.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float to related units as needed, providing consistent, quality care across different departments.
• Maintain compliance with all required certifications and facility policies.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license (state license or compact license accepted prior to start).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent med-surg experience, with some familiarity in stroke or surgery care preferred.
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to work night shifts (4x12 hours) and handle telemetry monitoring.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Flexibility to float across units and adapt to changing patient needs.
