Job Summary:

Seeking a qualified Medical Surgical RN for a float pool position at a community-based hospital. The role involves providing comprehensive care on med-surg units, including specialty tasks and patient management.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical units, ensuring high-quality standards.
• Float within scope to med-surg and other department units as needed.
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform clinical procedures such as blood draws and line management.
• Monitor patient conditions, document findings, and update care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in New Mexico or pending license acceptance.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in medical-surgical settings.
• Certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to perform clinical tasks including feeding tube care, dialysis management, and vascular access procedures.
• Flexibility to work night shifts (4x12 hours) and adapt to floating requirements.
