Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown unit, overseeing patient recovery and stabilization during their hospital stay. Works collaboratively with healthcare teams to monitor, assess, and respond to patient needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor patient conditions, including ECG rhythm recognition and administering medications safely.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in clinical records.
• Ensure compliance with all certification, licensure, and facility requirements.
• Participate in orientation, training, and ongoing education to maintain clinical competencies.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including holiday work expectations and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or Compact state nursing license upon application.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown nursing.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required and must be active.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments.
• Ability to work every other holiday and follow assigned shift rotations.
• Pass the ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate exam during orientation with acceptable scores.
