Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic patients in a Medical Surgical/Tele unit within a Level I Trauma Center. Manages patient assessments, treatments, and patient education in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Monitor and document patient status, reporting significant changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Assist with patient mobility, wound care, and post-operative recovery activities.
• Adhere to safety standards and infection control procedures at all times.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in accordance with state or NLC guidelines.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical or orthopedic nursing experience.
• Proven experience of at least 1 prior travel assignment preferred.
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with flexible patient care skills.
• Must meet all Tier 2 Travel Compliance requirements.
