Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical environment, supporting patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgical procedures. Ensure compliance with all clinical standards and regulatory requirements to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and plan individualized perioperative care strategies.
• Maintain a sterile surgical environment, adhering to aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate intraoperative activities, including circulating and scrub roles.
• Monitor patient vitals and emotional well-being throughout the surgical continuum.
• Educate patients and their families on pre and post-operative care instructions.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with licensing, certification, and drug screening requirements.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent operating room experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC EMR and experience with vascular and orthopedic surgeries.
• Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Have scrub and circulating experience in diverse surgical specialties, including trauma, urology, ENT, and robotic surgery.
• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs and own a personal vehicle for travel.
• Maintain valid NY state nursing license and necessary certifications, uploaded and verified in profile.
