Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive perioperative patient care, ensuring safety and quality throughout surgical procedures. The role requires collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer preoperative and intraoperative nursing care, assessing patient needs and implementing individualized plans.
• Operate and monitor clinical equipment and instrumentation to maintain a sterile, safe environment.
• Recognize and address safety issues, including the proper use of lifts and patient mobility techniques.
• Coordinate with surgical teams, provide leadership as needed, and assume charge nurse responsibilities.
• Respond to on-call emergencies within a 30-minute response time while maintaining patient safety standards.
• Educate patients and families about perioperative processes, procedures, and recovery expectations.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with active NYS RN license.
• Minimum of 13 weeks of RN experience in an operating room setting.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively under stress and in emergency situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
