Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and aseptic techniques throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition pre-operatively and prepare them for surgery.
• Administer IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation as required.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to any emergencies.
• Maintain sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols.
• Document all nursing activities, patient responses, and procedural details accurately.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure seamless and safe operative experiences.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN license and primary source verification from NYSED.
• Possess a minimum of two years' experience in scrub and circulating nursing, IV insertion, and conscious sedation.
• Certified in AHA BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment, technical, and communication skills.
• Possess an Associate Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited Nursing Program.
