Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients within a float pool setting, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes. Adapt to diverse units and patient needs, maintaining compliance with clinical standards and protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and prioritize interventions based on acuity and clinical guidelines.
• Administer medications, including titratable drips and set-rate infusions, following established protocols.
• Manage respiratory equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, vents, and trachs, coordinating with RTs for respiratory treatments.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry strips, ensuring prompt response to arrhythmias.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, including CNAs and charge nurses, to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records.

Qualifications:

• Active RN licensure with recent medical-surgical and telemetry experience.
• Must pass a cardiac rhythm interpretation test; ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage set and titratable drips; experience in respiratory equipment management.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips confidently.
• Flexibility to float across multiple units and adaptability to unit-specific protocols.
