Job Summary:
Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, managing a diverse caseload to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs continuously using telemetry and other equipment.
• Administer medications, blood transfusions, and IVs according to physician orders and standards.
• Perform procedures such as IV starts, midline or central line removals, and respiratory assessments.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR system, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate concerns as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 1 year of recent experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown settings.
• Ensure current certifications in ACLS and BLS are maintained.
• Demonstrate telemetry experience and proficiency in continuous patient monitoring.
• Possess strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to manage high-acuity patients.
• Be a team-oriented, engaged, and self-motivated professional.
• Prefer candidates with NIH Stroke, PALS, ICU, or Tele experience.
