Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to orthopedic patients across adult and geriatric populations in a high-volume hospital setting. Responsible for delivering bedside care, monitoring, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer nursing care to orthopedic patients, including post-surgical and medical management.
• Monitor patient condition using telemetry when applicable and recognize early signs of deterioration.
• Collaborate with physical therapy team to facilitate patient mobility and recovery within the unit.
• Work as Charge RN as needed, overseeing clinical operations and supporting staff.
• Float to other hospital units as required, maintaining flexibility in coverage.
• Complete required modules and certifications during orientation and maintain compliance standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience, with prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Demonstrate experience working in a 3x12 night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM).
• BLS certification is required; EKG certification must be completed successfully.
• Possess EPIC EMR system experience.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills specific to orthopedic trauma and surgical care.
