Job Summary:

Provides specialized postoperative care and support for orthopedic surgery patients, ensuring optimal recovery and functional outcomes. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered nursing services.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ condition and develop individualized care plans for orthopedic surgery recovery.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage pain effectively.
• Assist with mobility, wound care, and postoperative rehabilitation activities.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative procedures, activity restrictions, and recovery expectations.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and therapists to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Registered Nurse license with current state licensure.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of recent orthopedic surgical nursing experience.
• Possess basic life support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification preferred.
• Exhibit strong assessment skills and clinical judgment in postoperative care.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
