Job Summary:

Provide specialized orthopedic nursing care to patients undergoing orthopedic procedures or treatments. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive, high-quality patient care focused on recovery and mobility.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and monitor post-operative recovery related to orthopedic surgeries.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Educate patients and families on postoperative care, rehabilitation, and mobility exercises.
• Document patient progress and update medical records accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina or the ability to obtain licensure.
• At least 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience.
• Strong knowledge of orthopedic surgical procedures, postoperative care, and mobility assessment.
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• CPR and ACLS certification preferred.
