Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Medical Surgical nursing to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute or post-acute care setting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing various medical conditions and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications, change dressings, insert catheters, and initiate IV therapy following established protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpret measurements, and respond promptly to adverse reactions or changes in patient condition.
• Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, post-operative care, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medical charts, patient records, and clinical assessments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid New York State RN License with primary source verification.
• possess a minimum of two years Med/Surg experience in a hospital or post-acute facility, with recent experience within the past year.
• Demonstrate competency in wound care, infection control, telemetry monitoring, and medication administration.
• Proficient in physical assessments and post-operative patient management.
• AHA BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred for Queens location.
• Experience with EPIC EMR system is highly desirable.
