Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring their clinical needs are met with a focus on safety and quality. Adapt to various medical and surgical environments while maintaining professional standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond promptly to changes or emergencies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth unit operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the Meditech EMR system and manage equipment such as pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.
• Support float assignments across multiple units including Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Hawaii RN license prior to the start of employment.
• Possess 2–10 years of relevant nursing experience in acute care settings.
• Maintain current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate competence in using Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and managing chest tubes.
• Ability to float between units and adapt to diverse patient populations.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail.
