Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through vigilant monitoring and treatment. This role involves adapting to various clinical settings within a hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patient vital signs and make appropriate clinical assessments.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical records (Meditech EMR).
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and escalate concerns as needed.
• Float between medical and surgical units, including rare assignments to the cardiovascular unit.

Qualifications:

• Possess an active Hawaii Registered Nurse license before start date.
• Have 2 to 10 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Hold current BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech EMR, Pyxis, wound vac, and chest tubes.
• Be flexible to float across units and departments as required.
• Maintain professional nursing attire and adhere to facility dress code.
