Job Summary:

-seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery to provide high-quality obstetric care.

-responsible for managing obstetric patients, ensuring safety, and collaborating with medical teams during various stages of labor and postpartum care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor fetal and maternal well-being using external fetal monitoring.
• Recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart rate patterns to ensure patient safety.
• Circulate for cesarean sections and assist during operative procedures.
• Provide comprehensive patient education and emotional support to new mothers.
• Maintain accurate documentation using facility systems like SBAR, Omnicell, eMD Allscripts.
• Participate in on-call duties and float to Perinatal units as needed, including holiday rotations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Valid California nursing license required at the time of submission.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN, Advanced RTO (must be submitted with application).
• Demonstrated proficiency with external fetal monitoring and recognizing fetal distress.
• Ability to work most holidays and comply with travel and facility requirements.
• Successfully pass advanced EKG exam with a minimum score of 80%.
