Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients and newborns. Supervises and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, efficient care throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' clinical conditions and progress throughout labor and delivery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer medications and interventions in accordance with established protocols.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vitals, promptly addressing any changes.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate delivery and postpartum services.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Demonstrated ability to perform fetal monitoring and manage obstetric emergencies.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.
• EPIC experience preferred.
