Job Summary:
Provide specialized laboratory testing services in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Ensure accurate and timely processing of specimens while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance, quality control, and calibration on laboratory analyzers, including Siemens Dimension EXL, Sysmex 1000, Roche Clineteck, and others.
• Process specimens by ordering tests, centrifuging, preparing send-outs, and cleaning lab surfaces to support efficient lab operations.
• Document test results accurately in the EMR system (EPIC) and communicate findings to clinical staff as needed.
• Adhere to CLIA and CAP safety protocols and lab policies to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate professionally with laboratory and clinical staff, displaying clear communication and teamwork.
• Support laboratory operations by performing clerical duties assigned by the Nursing and Lab Director.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid MLS or MLT certification through ASCP or equivalent, with a full license required.
• Possess at least 2 years of experience working in a hospital laboratory environment as an MLS or MLT.
• Demonstrate proficiency with analyzers and experience with EPIC EMR system.
• Ability to perform specimen processing, QC, and equipment calibration consistently.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills and professionalism when interfacing with clinical staff.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
