Job Summary:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (Med Tech) will perform high-quality laboratory testing in a hospital outpatient setting, supporting emergency services with accurate and timely results. They will also assist with clerical tasks to ensure smooth lab operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct and document routine and specialized laboratory tests on various analyzers and instruments.
• Perform daily maintenance, quality control, and calibration of lab equipment in compliance with CLIA and CAP standards.
• Prepare and process specimens, including centrifuging, testing, and coordinating send-outs for transport.
• Collaborate professionally with clinical staff and other team members while maintaining accurate documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain cleanliness of lab surfaces and supplies.
• Support operational needs with clerical duties as directed by Nursing and Lab leadership when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid MLS or MLT certification through ASCP or equivalent.
• Have at least 2 years of experience working in a hospital laboratory environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency with analyzers such as Siemens Dimension, Sysmex 1000, Roche Clineteck, and Abbott iSTAT.
• Maintain full and active laboratory licensing, not associate-level certification.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
