Job Summary:

Provides specialized respiratory care services to adult and geriatric patients, ensuring optimal respiratory health outcomes. Operates independently and supervises delegated duties within the department to maintain high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions to determine appropriate therapy plans.
• Administer aerosol, oxygen therapy, and perform ventilator management as prescribed.
• Draw arterial blood gases and document findings accurately in medical records.
• Monitor and provide care for ventilator-dependent and neonatal patients.
• Assist in training and supervising new staff members in respiratory care procedures.
• Maintain detailed records of treatments, therapies, and patient responses.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from NBRC.
• Possess an active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in California.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications.
• Minimum of two years' recent experience in critical care and neonatal/OB settings, including Level II nursery.
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
