Job Summary:

Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a fast-paced hospital setting. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and positive birth experiences for patients.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients’ health status and monitor fetal and maternal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
• Administer medications, manage labor analgesia, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Support patients with comfort measures, education, and emotional support during childbirth.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Cerner).
• Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate care.
• Perform invasive procedures such as C-sections, D&Cs, and cerclage placements as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with active certification(s).
• Possess at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience.
• Demonstrate experience in high-risk obstetric care.
• Hold current certifications: NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring.
• Have circulating experience preferred.
• Maintain ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating adaptability and strong interpersonal skills.
