Job Summary:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety, optimal outcomes, and adherence to sterile techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures according to established standards and protocols.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and managing surgical instruments and supplies.
• Verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent forms to ensure accurate procedures.
• Assess patient pain levels, monitor responses to medications, and communicate with physicians regarding patient status.
• Document all interventions, patient responses, and procedural details accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to optimize patient care during surgical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current MA RN license.
• O.R. nursing experience highly preferred, along with CNOR certification.
• BLS certification upon hire and ACLS certification within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment with competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
