Job Details

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. Ensure patient safety, monitor vital signs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform nursing assessments, including vital signs, patient histories, and physical examinations.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments following protocols.
• Utilize phlebotomy skills and place IVs as required by the facility.
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias efficiently.
• Implement infection control procedures and adhere to isolation precautions.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC or equivalent electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY RN license in hand prior to submission.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry unit.
• Demonstrate competency with phlebotomy and IV placement.
• Current BLS certification required; additional certifications preferred.
• Ability to interpret cardiac monitoring and manage emergency responses.
• Flexibility to float between MS, ICU, and ED units as needed.
