Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical/Tele RN is responsible for providing high-quality patient care on a cardiac unit, utilizing specialized skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, airway management, and vascular access. This role involves working within a fast-paced environment to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor patients' cardiac rhythms, interpreting dysrhythmias accurately.
• Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and manage peripheral lines and nasal cannulas.
• Collaborate with Rapid Response Teams to manage urgent clinical situations.
• Maintain patient safety through adherence to isolation precautions and infection control protocols.
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC electronic medical records.
• Float within scope to other units as needed, ensuring coverage and continuity of care.

Qualifications:

• Possess at least 1 year of recent experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
• Hold an active New York RN license.
• Demonstrate competency in phlebotomy and IV placement.
• BLS certification is required.
• Be able to interpret dysrhythmias and manage arrhythmias effectively.
• Capable of working night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 3x12 schedule.
