Job Summary:
Providing specialized nursing care to patients with cardiovascular conditions requiring continuous monitoring. Responsible for assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient status in a telemetry unit to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions and interpret cardiac telemetry data to identify abnormal rhythms.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient status and any changes.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain comprehensive electronic medical records.
• Educate patients and their families about their condition and care plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid and active nursing license in the state of practice.
• Have American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Possess clinical experience in telemetry or cardiac care units.
• Demonstrate strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Meet vaccination requirements, including MMR and Varicella, or attest to vaccination/declination.
