Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to postpartum and antepartum patients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This role involves critical clinical review, patient education, and collaborative support within a level II nursery setting.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor postpartum and antepartum patients to identify their needs and respond promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Perform postpartum and antepartum assessments, including NICU care for level II nursery patients.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic health record system.
• Float within scope of practice across related units, including NICU, as required.
• Comply with all travel and facility policies, including background checks, certifications, and licensing.

Qualifications:

• Valid Virginia RN license or pending license with verification prior to start date.
• Current BLS and NRPC certifications.
• Experience working with postpartum, antepartum, and level II nursery patients.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Ability to perform clinical assessments and manage multiple patient needs simultaneously.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
