Job Summary:

Provide specialized postpartum and newborn care to mothers and infants in a dynamic maternity unit. Ensure patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality nursing services during the post-delivery period.

Responsibilities:

• Administer comprehensive postpartum and newborn care following hospital protocols.
• Monitor maternal and neonatal vital signs, responding promptly to changes.
• Educate new mothers on postpartum self-care, breastfeeding, and infant care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately in EMR systems.
• Assist during labor, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current state certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent OB/Postpartum experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN certifications required.
• Proven ability to perform postpartum and newborn procedures, including inductions and cesarean care.
• Strong communication and energetic, self-directed personality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with flexible floating within the unit.
