Job Summary:
The Medical Lab Scientist will perform diagnostic testing and laboratory procedures in the ER lab, supporting clinical operations at a fast-paced, acute care facility. The role involves clinical testing, clerical duties, and collaborating with nursing and lab leadership to ensure efficient lab services.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct point of care testing and diagnostic procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Perform clerical tasks as assigned by Nursing and Lab Director to support laboratory operations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and recordkeeping of all laboratory tests and results.
• Adhere to safety and quality control standards to ensure reliable testing outcomes.
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare teams for seamless patient care.
• Follow facility policies, including dress code, work schedules, and on-call requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an ASCP-certified MLS, Medical Technologist, or CLS credential.
• Demonstrate proficiency in point of care testing procedures.
• Show ability to perform laboratory tests accurately and efficiently.
• Possess minimum two years of relevant lab experience.
• Ability to work 7 on/7 off day shifts, with flexibility for varied hours.
• Maintain excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
