Job Summary:
Seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) to join the ER Laboratory team at a fast-paced Fast-Serve Emergency Department. This role involves performing point-of-care testing, specimen processing, and supporting lab operations to ensure timely and accurate results.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily maintenance, quality control, and calibrations on laboratory analyzers.
• Perform patient testing, waived and non-waived, utilizing a variety of lab equipment.
• Process specimens, including ordering tests, centrifuging samples, and preparing send-outs.
• Support lab supply management and routine cleaning of lab surfaces.
• Collaborate professionally with clinical staff and accurately document results in EMR.
• Adhere to all lab safety protocols in compliance with CLIA and CAP standards.

Qualifications:

• Require MLS or MLT certification through ASCP or equivalent.
• Have at least 2 years of experience in a hospital laboratory setting.
• Demonstrate proficiency with analyzers such as Siemens Dimension EXL, Sysmex 1000, Roche Clineteck, and others.
• Prefer candidates with experience using EPIC EMR system.
• Capable of working independently with strong communication skills.
• Must be willing to perform clerical duties as assigned.
