Job Summary:
The Urgent Care RN provides clinical services within the urgent care setting, supporting patients and medical staff by delivering quality care, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer patient assessments, specimen collection, and supportive care in collaboration with providers and clinic staff.
• Manage medication inventory, supplies, and perform quality control checks on Point of Care tests.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to clinic protocols.
• Assist in opening and closing provider clinics, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and clinic coordination.
• Maintain infection control policies, keep the workspace clean, and report safety hazards or equipment issues.

Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Alaska RN license; active at time of submittal.
• Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of nursing processes, safety principles, and infection control.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work independently.
• Demonstrated ability to use medical equipment and computer systems proficiently.
