Job Summary:
A Laboratory Generalist with phlebotomy skills responsible for specimen collection, processing, and analysis across various laboratory departments. Ensures accurate, timely test results and maintains high standards of quality control without weekend shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Collect, process, and receive biological specimens including blood, urine, fecal, and body fluids.
• Support laboratory initiatives by adhering to established protocols and standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to specimen collection and processing.
• Analyze quality control data, ensure accuracy, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Review instrument performance and monitor temperature indicators to maintain optimal conditions.
• Contribute to the evaluation of new techniques, procedures, and laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree; Associate’s degree accepted for grandfathered personnel.
• Possess a valid CLS or MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent.
• Demonstrate proficiency in laboratory procedures and specimen handling.
• Ability to recognize deviations from expected results and troubleshoot effectively.
• Maintain self-competency through ongoing education and training.
• Willingness to participate in call schedule if needed.
