Job Summary:
The MLT/Medical Technologist/Clinical Lab Scientist is responsible for performing laboratory testing, analyzing specimens, and delivering accurate results to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role ensures adherence to quality standards and regulatory guidelines while providing professional patient-centered service.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and process patient specimens across multiple laboratory disciplines including Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Blood Bank, and Urinalysis.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Recognize abnormal or critical test results and promptly refer findings to the Pathologist.
• Perform and document quality control procedures, adhering to quality assurance protocols.
• Follow established safety, infection control, and regulatory policies to maintain a compliant laboratory environment.
• Communicate results effectively with healthcare providers and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications:

• Possess a current ASCP or AMT certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician, Medical Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
• Hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Applied Science, or related biological, chemical, or physical sciences.
• Demonstrate completion of an accredited laboratory training program.
• Exhibit familiarity with laboratory equipment, testing procedures, and safety standards.
• Show ability to handle specimens of all patient age groups, from neonatal to geriatric.
