Job Summary: Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in the HVTI-Stepdown unit, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment. Collaborates with healthcare team members to deliver high-quality patient outcomes in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately while monitoring patient responses.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and observe acute changes in patient conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care activities thoroughly and ensure compliance with hospital policies.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including cardiac or respiratory distress.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio license or compact state license in hand at submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent full-time experience in a stepdown or similar acute care setting, including travel experience.
• Require current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, active and in hand during submission.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments, passing both during orientation.
• Be able to work every other holiday as required by the facility.
• Pass a background check with no license hits.
