Job Summary:
The PCU RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in a progressive care setting, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. This role involves monitoring patients' conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and respond promptly to changes in their condition.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions following established protocols.
• Monitor ECG rhythms and recognize abnormal patterns to ensure patient safety.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio license or compact state license in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in PCU/Stepdown nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications active and current at the time of hire.
• Demonstrated proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Ability to work night shifts, including every other holiday, for 3-12 hour shifts.
