Job Summary:

The RN MS/Tele (Ortho) is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients on a specialized orthopedic telemetry unit. This role involves managing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
• Document patient data accurately within the EPIC EMR system.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Float to other units or campuses as needed, ensuring documented competencies are maintained.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient education.

Qualifications:

• Valid SC or multistate RN license required; pending license not accepted.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Med/Surg/Tele nursing experience, specifically in orthopedic settings.
• Strong clinical skills with expertise in orthopedic patient care and procedures such as bedside lumbar puncture and post-surgical care.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• Proficient in EPIC EMR documentation and clinical workflows.
• Ability to work night shifts and accommodate every other weekend schedule.
