Job Summary:
Provide short-term Med/Surg Telemetry nursing coverage within a healthcare facility for 20 weeks, with flexible options for 13 weeks. The role requires accurate scheduling, licensure, and compliance with facility standards to ensure smooth patient care and staffing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting, adhering to clinical guidelines.
• Recognize and interpret ECG rhythms, responding appropriately to changes in patient status.
• Complete assessments, document patient information, and maintain detailed records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Ensure compliance with all certification, licensure, and facility policies, including drug screening and background checks.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing education modules as required by the facility.

Qualifications:

• Hold a permanent Ohio license or compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• Possess at least 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience, with prior perm experience in the specialty.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required; willingness to obtain NIHSS prior to start.
• Submit one recent reference from a supervisor or manager from within the past 12 months.
• Successfully pass ECG rhythm recognition and safemedicate assessments during orientation.
• Be willing to comply with nicotine-free policy unless exempted as a nurse or CST.
