Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care within the Medical Surgical/Tele specialty, ensuring safety, comfort, and effective treatment for assigned patients. They utilize clinical expertise to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on age-specific criteria.
• Administer cardiac medications, including titration and monitoring of drugs such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Heparin, Dobutamine, Lasix, and Bumex.
• Monitor telemetry and interpret heart rhythms to detect changes in patient status promptly.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and other critical events, intervening as appropriate.
• Educate and collaborate with non-RN staff, including LPNs, PCTs, and unit secretaries, to optimize patient care.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio or Compact RN license as shown on Nursys.
• Possess at least 2 years of recent experience in Med Surg/Telemetry.
• Maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrate proficiency in telemetry, cardiac medications, and critical thinking skills.
• Exhibit strong communication abilities and the capacity to respond effectively to changing patient conditions.
