Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled registered nurse for a 48-hour contract on an IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a high-risk respiratory setting, with specific experience in telemetry and vent management.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients on the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, including high-risk respiratory patients.
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records to document patient information accurately.
• Float within the hospital or to other Premier Health facilities as needed, supporting various units based on census and skill set.
• Assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in respiratory status, including the use of heated high flow and bipaps.
• Complete required orientation modules, including EKG/Dysrhythmia assessments within 72 hours of signing.
• Comply with all travel and licensing requirements, including working every other weekend and holiday.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state or a compact license; no past disciplinary actions accepted.
• Minimum of 1:5 ratio experience in SD or PCU settings, with verified work history.
• Demonstrate vent management experience and proficiency with telemetry monitoring.
• Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification required; IV start preferred.
• Prior travel experience is advantageous.
