Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse in IMC/PCU/Stepdown is responsible for providing specialized patient care to individuals requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing interventions. The role emphasizes competent clinical practice within a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, adhering to protocols and physician orders.
• Monitor patient vital signs and Lab/EKG data to detect changes requiring intervention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Document patient progress, interventions, and responses using Epic Electronic Medical Records.
• Float as needed across hospital units based on census and skill set requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active state RN license or valid compact license.
• Possess at least 1.5 years of relevant inpatient nursing experience, preferred at Level 1 or 2 units.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic charting and EKG interpretation.
• Have experience with stable chronic ventilators and IV starts preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required.
• Travel experience and ability to float within hospital and across nearby facilities preferred.
