Job Description
Job Summary:
The Cath Lab/EP Tech will assist in performing advanced cardiovascular procedures, including device implants and ablations, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes. This role supports the electrophysiology team in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and operate specialized equipment such as GE Innova X-ray systems and GE MacLab Hemostasis systems.
- Assist physicians during catheter-based and electrophysiology procedures including implantations, ablations, and Watchman LAAO procedures.
- Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Document procedures and patient data accurately within the Meditech system.
- Maintain all sterile and infection control standards, ensuring a safe environment.
- Support unit staff with troubleshooting equipment and managing supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
- Hold RCIS or RT(R)(CV) certification.
- Demonstrate minimum of 2 years’ experience in a cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology unit.
- Possess experience with device implants, cardiac ablations, SVT, and Afib procedures.
- Maintain current ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Prove competency in using advanced cardiovascular equipment and technology.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
