Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care in the operating room setting, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to protocols during surgical procedures. Supervises and collaborates with the surgical team to coordinate effective perioperative care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments prior to surgery to identify risks and establish care plans.
• Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments, ensuring sterilization and readiness for procedures.
• Assist surgical team by passing instruments, anticipating needs, and maintaining a sterile environment.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and status throughout the surgical process.
• Educate patients and families about the surgical procedure, pre- and post-operative care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure seamless patient care and safety.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor.
• Preferably have recent experience working in an operating room or perioperative setting.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and sterile technique skills.
• Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
