Job Summary:

Seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technician with a minimum of 2 years of permanent experience in general surgery. The role involves assisting surgical teams, ensuring sterile procedures, and supporting operative processes to promote patient safety and efficient surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms by setting up sterile instruments and ensuring all equipment is functional.
• Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
• Support patient positioning and surgical site preparation as instructed.
• Document surgical procedures and assist with post-operative cleanup and sterilization.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards throughout surgical events.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Ohio license; compact licenses accepted for starts from 01/01/2023 onward.
• Possess at least 18 months of permanent experience in surgical technology, preferably in general surgery.
• Be certified as a Surgical Technician with active credentials and no pending issues.
• Have references from managers, ANMs, supervisors, or directors in the surgical field from the past 12 months.
• Be able to recognize ECG rhythms and perform SafeMedicate assessments successfully, with acceptable scores.
• Complete BG hits review and possess a clean license with no open violations.
