Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through monitored, individualized care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans and promote patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' condition and establish nursing care plans tailored to their needs.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records.
• Maintain compliance with unit policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio or Compact state RN license at the time of submission.
• Possess a minimum of 18 months of recent permanent experience in a Stepdown or IMC/PCU setting.
• Be able to recognize ECG rhythms and demonstrate competency through assessment scores.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and NIHSS certification must be current and active.
• Successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Have two recent references from managers or supervisors within the past 12 months.
