Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes. Adapt to various units as needed to meet operational demands.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized care plans based on clinical protocols.
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and interpret ECG rhythms to evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and ensure compliance with facility standards.
• Perform assessments, manage emergencies, and execute safeMedicate procedures during orientation.
• Document clinical interventions and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing training to maintain certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Ohio or Compact State RN license in hand at the time of submission.
• Possess at least 18 months of recent, full-time experience in a Stepdown or similar specialty, preferably in a permanent position.
• Demonstrate proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and pass associated assessments during orientation.
• Maintain active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS, with no pending re-certifications.
• Provide two recent managerial references from within the past 12 months, specific to the specialty.
• Be willing to work every other holiday and flexible shifts as needed.
