Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides rehabilitative and collaborative patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. They implement therapeutic interventions and monitor patient progress to enhance physical functioning and recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Support clinical interventions using evidence-based practices to address patient needs.
• Administer treatment plans including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive devices.
• Assess patient progress and communicate updates to supervising Physical Therapist to modify treatment strategies.
• Document all clinical and regulatory information accurately in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, families, and caregivers to ensure effective care delivery.
• Support supervision of students and assist in obtaining necessary DME or supplies per clinical guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active PTA license and meet state licensure requirements.
• Possess at least 1 year of PTA experience; new grads with Level II experience are acceptable.
• Have prior LTC or rehab experience.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and ability to document patient care effectively.
• Comply with the APTA code of conduct, ethics, and practice acts.
• Be able to work collaboratively with supervising Physical Therapists and team members.
