Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through clinical expertise and compassionate support. Maintain adherence to unit protocols and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor patient care in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown setting, including titrate drips and manage common MedSurg diagnoses.
• Assess patient conditions, interpret telemetry strips, and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Follow unit-specific protocols for patient transports, medication administration, and documentation.
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth shift operations.
• Adhere to infection control, safety regulations, and vaccination requirements.
• Support patient discharge planning and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with active certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a MedSurg, stepdown, or similar acute care setting.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips and monitor patient vital signs.
• Must possess strong assessment skills and clinical judgment.
• Willingness to float to other units as needed and work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Compliance with vaccination policies and submission of proper documentation.
