Job Summary:

The RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP team provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, ensuring optimal safety and comfort. This role supports the smooth operation of the Cath Lab in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with medical staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for cardiac catheterizations and electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any clinical changes during interventions.
• Assist physicians during procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are available.
• Document patient care, procedures, and outcomes accurately in the EMR system.
• Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to infection control policies throughout all activities.
• Provide post-procedure care, education, and discharge instructions to patients.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license with minimum of 1 year of cardiac or Cath Lab experience.
• Demonstrate proficiency in cardiac procedures, including PCI and Interventional Radiology techniques.
• Capable of utilizing Philips EMR and Meditech systems effectively.
• Possess certified CPR and ACLS credentials.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Show strong communication skills and a professional, personable demeanor.
