Job Summary:

This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for adult patients requiring specialized monitoring and treatment. The RN will support patient recovery and ensure safety by adhering to unit protocols and delivering individualized care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient vital signs, assess clinical status, and respond to changes promptly.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient care plans.
• Document patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and their families on post-treatment care and discharge instructions.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and infection control protocols.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current state licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a neuro, trauma, or stepdown unit.
• Certification in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS is mandatory.
• Demonstrate strong assessment skills and clinical judgment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Experience with EMR systems, preferably Cerner, is preferred.
