Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide patient care in a progressive care unit (PCU) specializing in neuro and trauma care. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care including assessments, monitoring, and treatment according to physician orders.
• Utilize EMR systems to document patient information accurately and promptly.
• Perform procedures such as neuro and spinal checks, chest tube management, and IV infusions.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, recovery processes, and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with unit policies and guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care effectively.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in neuro, trauma, or progressive care units.
• Demonstrated ability to perform advanced procedures such as chest tube management and use of invasive devices.
• Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and patient-focused approach.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including every other weekend and on-call shifts.
• Experience with Cerner EMR system preferred.
