Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to patients in a high-volume, Level 2 trauma, and comprehensive stroke emergency department. Responsible for assessing patient needs, executing clinical interventions, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Administer direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring vital signs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner electronic documentation systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, supporting procedures such as ER interventions and procedures performed on unit.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, certifications, and safety standards, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current RN license with at least 2 years of recent experience in a Level 2 trauma or high-volume ED.
• Possess a minimum of 1-year ER nursing experience.
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively within a team and provide real-time coaching and feedback.
• Be flexible to work across all sections of the Emergency Department, including behavioral health holds.
• Maintain current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, and ENPC (or within required timeframe).
